The industrial pilot plant uses a component fluidized bed reactor and a dedicated gas phase methanol dehydration catalyst. The perfect combination of advanced reactor design and high-efficiency catalyst not only greatly improves the catalytic reaction efficiency of the dimethyl ether synthesis process, but also improves the temperature control capability of the dimethyl ether synthesis reactor. The operating pressure of the fluidized bed dimethyl ether synthesis reactor is 0.8 to 1.0 MPa, the operating temperature is 270°C to 290°C, and the reactor axial temperature difference is less than 10°C. Due to the excellent temperature control performance of the fluidized bed reactor and the use of micron-sized particle catalysts, the single-pass conversion and selectivity of the dimethyl ether synthesis process are greatly improved compared to the fixed bed. Under the condition that the catalyst loading is reduced by half, the single-pass conversion of the catalytic synthesis reaction can still reach over 85%, and the selectivity of the reaction is close to 100%.
The new technology has the advantages of simple structure, low investment, stable operation, low operating cost, small catalyst loading, easy handling, and easy large-scale operation.
