Gravimeters are indispensable instruments in the fields of geophysics, geodesy and metrology, and have important applications in the fields of resource exploration and inertial navigation. The cold atomic absolute gravimeter uses a laser to interact with the free-falling cold atomic mass in the gravitational field to form an interference loop. The interference fringes are obtained by measuring the atomic population in different states, and the absolute gravity of the instrument's location is derived from the phase of the fringe. value. Compared with the traditional drop-corner laser interference absolute gravimeter, the cold atom absolute gravimeter has the advantages of high sensitivity, self-calibration, long-term continuous observation, no mechanical wear and low maintenance cost. However, the experimental setup and operation of the cold atomic gravimeter is very complicated. How to develop an integrated and accurate gravimeter that is accurate and easy to handle is the key to its ability to compete with or even exceed the pyramidal laser gravimeter.
In the development process, the research team members, including associate researcher Tang Wei and doctoral student Huang Panwei, designed and realized a compact titanium ultra-high vacuum system and small size in order to meet the requirements of high-precision gravity measurement while carrying the instrument. The light path system and the integrated circuit control system have broken through the key technologies such as active vibration isolation and earth rotation compensation. The two newly discovered system error items different from the é“·-87 system have been carefully evaluated, and finally the transportable high is realized. The gravimeter was transported over long-distance roads and participated in the international absolute gravimeter comparison.
