In December 2012, Bosch India appointed Steffen Berns as general manager and additional director, and took office on January 1, 2013.

The current general manager of Bosch India is VK Vishwanathan, who will continue to serve Bosch India as non-executive director and vice chairman of the board of directors after the end of his term.

Steffen Berns currently serves on the management board of Bosch Gas Systems. He was responsible for sales and R&D of original equipment at Bosch India from 1996 to 2000. He will return to Bosch India again in early 2013.

In addition, Steffen Berns was the first president of Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions.
