Dr. Ralf Cramer, President and CEO of Continental China stated: “The Continental Group has been advocating the concept of 'safety sharing'. While focusing on the innovation of safety products and technology, we also insist on the public welfare of safe driving. We strive to spread the concept of “safe driving” to consumers through a variety of channels and bring a safer driving experience. We hope that the Global Child Safety Organization (China) will continue to collaborate with youth safety driving training programs. At the event, the concept of "safe driving" was integrated into the interactive game on the spot. Traffic police instructors took the baton on the scene, taught safe traffic knowledge to young people participating in the event, emphasized the concept of road safety, popularized driving rules and civilized traffic awareness, thereby enhancing participants’ social moral awareness. Student volunteers from colleges and universities in Shanghai served as promotion ambassadors in on-site interactive projects to encourage more people to actively understand the importance of safe driving and master correct driving behavior.

The youth safety driving training program started in 2012 with the theme of “safe driving, I promise” to enhance young people's road safety awareness, promote road safety behavior and reduce road traffic injuries. The Youth Safe Driving Training Project promotes the concept of "safe driving" and "rejection of drunk driving", "slow down", "concentration of attention", "one week before starting a car" and "use" in the form of young people spurring youth learning experiences. The Road Traffic Injury issued by WHO shows that road traffic injuries are the main cause of death among young people aged 15 to 29 years. The "2012 China Road Safety Report" issued by the Ministry of Public Security of the Ministry of Public Security shows that nearly half of the people who died in road traffic in 2012 were young people. In 2014, the Continental Group and the Global Children’s Safety Organization (China) jointly released “A Study on the Cognition and Behavior of the Safe Driving of Young People on the Shanghai Campus”1 found that less than half of the young people who participated in the survey considered road traffic accidents. It can be prevented. Nearly 80% of people believe that “avoiding drunk driving” and “deceleration” are effective means to control traffic accidents. However, nearly half of the young people have ever drunk the driver’s car. It can be seen that young people are safe. Guidance on education and proper driving habits is very necessary. Ms. Cui Minyan, chief representative and executive director of the Global Child Safety Organization (China), said: “We have always believed that there is no accidental accident and only harm can be prevented. In the past three years, we have seen the young people involved in safety. The promotion of cognitive and behavioral aspects of driving hopes that more young people and the public can establish safe driving habits and prevent traffic accidents through the advancement of the project."
