Recently, Xichai and FAW Wuxi Oil Pump and Grease Research Institute held a 2017 cooperation project meeting. Wu Tao, deputy director of the FAW Technology Center and director of the Wuxi Oil Pump Mesh Research Institute, Qian Hengrong, party secretary of the factory, Huang Chenghai, deputy director, and technical experts from both sides attended the meeting.

The two sides conducted full discussions on deepening cooperation. Qian Hengrong stated that Xichai is positioning itself as a product with “building a national brand and high-end power”. The product starts from the needs of users and uses the “oil-saving and reliable” brand feature to form a competitive advantage. He hoped that the cooperation project with Wuxi Oil Institute will be deeper and more difficult to challenge and highlight innovation. Wu Tao believes that the follow-up cooperation between the two parties should focus on problem-oriented, demand-oriented, and improve the project targeted and establish an effective communication mechanism. He said that Wuxi Institute of Petroleum Research will play the advantages of forward-looking technology research, represent the technical center to do a good job of service, and carry forward the fine tradition of factory cooperation, and jointly contribute to the market leading the Group's powertrain.
