JCB releases JS300, JS330 and JS370 models that meet T4F regulations

In early 2017, in order to continuously improve the performance of the whole machine in terms of productivity and fuel consumption, JCB released JS300, JS330 and JS370 equipped with MTUT4F engine. The MTU6R1000 diesel engine that meets the T4F regulations has been used on JCB's largest tonnage wheel loaders and has been proven.

JCB's largest tonnage wheel loader

The main features of the MTU6R1000 engine are:

Use selective catalytic reduction techniques.

Comply with EU Stage 4 and North American T4F emission regulations.

Diesel exhaust gas treatment solution (Addblue and other urea liquid) is used in a low amount to reduce downtime.

No diesel particulate filter unit reduces downtime maintenance time.

Proven engine performance

The 7.7-litre MTU diesel engine is equipped with an efficient turbocharger and intercooler. The JS300T4F has an output of 180 kW and the JS330 and JS370T4F have an output of 210 kW. The engine has a built-in SCR selective catalytic reduction unit in the exhaust system, which can reduce NOX emissions by 90% with the DEF tail gas treatment liquid. In addition, the engine does not require the installation of a DPF particle filter to meet T4F emissions regulations, allowing users to significantly reduce component costs and service maintenance complexity. It is estimated that compared with the previous generation, JS370T4F can save fuel consumption by 10%, and JS300 and JS330T4F can save fuel consumption by 5%.

The whole machine is equipped with a 47-liter DEF urea water tank, which has a fuel consumption ratio of about 3%. About 3 boxes of diesel oil is consumed, and DEF urea water is added once. The configured treatment liquid consumption alarm system will prompt the driver to the DEF urea water level on the main display to avoid the engine power reduction operation after the DEF urea water is exhausted.

After upgrading to the MTU engine, the number of fuel filters in the whole machine has been reduced from three to two, thus reducing operating costs. The newly designed fuel oil circuit stop valve increases the convenience of service and maintenance.

The air filter unit has been re-upgraded. The new air filter uses ultra-nanofiber technology to greatly enhance the ability to filter dust. Compared with the traditional paper multi-layer folding filter, the filtration effect is increased by three times, and the intake air amount is also increased. The technology is more advanced, powerful, and more reliable and durable. If an air pre-filter is selected, there is no need to use an emptying valve.

The steps for redesigning the car are in two parts. The bottom layer is the toolbox, the automatic refueling pump is installed, and the upper layer is the DEF urea water tank. Side armrests and perforated skids make it safer to get on the bus.

JCB side impact protection system SIPS, standard on the heavy-duty and ultra-heavy-load demolition type machine, all three models can be selected. The system provides full protection for all core components of the machine. In addition, all models are available with the PlusPack, which includes a luxurious version of the seat, radio, pedal, TBar travel pole, black painted upper platform, rain protection, six LED work lights, air pre-filter and each Class Plus logo and so on.

Sodium Tripolyphosphate

Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) is a white, crystalline salt with the chemical formula Na5P3O10. It is commonly used as a food additive, water softener, and detergent builder. STPP is also used in industrial applications such as metal treatment, oil drilling, and ceramic production.

In food, STPP is used as a preservative, emulsifier, and texturizer. It is added to processed meats, seafood, and canned goods to improve their texture and extend their shelf life. STPP is also used in dairy products to prevent coagulation and improve texture.

In Water Treatment, STPP is used to soften hard water by binding to the calcium and magnesium ions that cause hardness. This helps to prevent scale buildup in pipes and appliances, and improves the effectiveness of soaps and detergents.

In detergent production, STPP is used as a builder, which helps to improve the cleaning power of the detergent by binding to hard water ions and preventing them from interfering with the cleaning process.

Despite its widespread use, STPP has been the subject of some controversy due to its potential environmental impacts. When released into waterways, STPP can contribute to eutrophication, which is the excessive growth of algae and other aquatic plants that can harm aquatic ecosystems. Some countries have placed restrictions on the use of STPP in certain applications to minimize its environmental impact.
