In order to meet the requirements for self-produced HFC4DA1-2B1 Euro III diesel engine at the end of September, according to the project promotion plan, the Power Research Institute organized a 2000-hour gantry reliability test. The trial began in mid-July and was carried out using three rigs at the same time. Each of the rigs was subjected to 800-hour full-load, 800-hour mixed load, and 400-hour overspeed test. As of today, the 800-hour mixing load and the 400-hour overspeed test have all been completed. The last 800-hour full-speed full load test has also been carried out for more than 750 hours. It is expected that it can be completed on the 29th and a rigorous prototype analysis will be conducted.

The time for this test was tight and the task was heavy. In order to complete the task smoothly and ensure the project was carried out, everyone was fully prepared before the test and a preparedness plan was prepared for possible problems. During the trial, company leaders An Jin and Dai Maofang visited the site several times to understand the progress of the trial.

This test is the most intense test and the most smooth process since the development of the 4DA1 series diesel engine. It has achieved reliability for about 2000 hours in less than 50 days without any problems in the middle. This is not only a test of product durability, but also a test of the test bench and system organization.

HFC4DA1-2B1 Euro III diesel engine is a high pressure common rail electronically controlled diesel engine developed on the basis of HFC4DA1-1. The product was established on December 21st, 2005 and completed in July 2006. The prototype was established in October and the discharge development was completed in May of the following year. The end of this reliability test signifies that the development of the HFC4DA1-2B1 Euro III diesel engine has been basically completed.
