The reporter learned on February 1 that Liaoyang aromatic hydrocarbons and chemical fiber raw material bases with Liaoyang Petrochemical Company as the core area were identified by the Ministry of Science and Technology as “National High-tech Industrialization Base for Aromatic Hydrocarbons and Fine Chemicals”. Recently, they were also nationally industrialized and informatized. The ministry approved it as a “National New Industrialization Demonstration Base” and became one of the 62 demonstration bases in the country.
Liaoyang Petrochemical, which was built in the 1970s, continuously adjusts and optimizes the industrial structure and transforms the mode of economic growth. Especially since the end of the 10th Five-Year Plan, it has completed the transformation from “large chemical fiber” to “large aromatic hydrocarbon” and promoted the use of aromatic hydrocarbons as a feature of large-scale petrochemicals. The construction of the base will drive and promote the adjustment of local industrial structure and economic and social development.
In the plan for the 11th Five-Year Plan, after Liaoning Province has made full use of the advantages of Chinese oil companies to build Liaoyang into a strategic base for the deep processing of aromatic hydrocarbons, the construction of Liaoyang aromatic hydrocarbons and chemical fiber raw material base will follow the “big projects, industrial chains, The development direction of industrial clusters is rapidly progressing with the goal of “breaking eight technologies and building five major bases”. According to reports, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China established the "National New Industrialization Industrial Demonstration Base" in July 2009. A total of 120 bases have been declared throughout the country.
