As the main equipment for high-voltage power grid detection, the current transformer not only provides parameters for the measurement of electric energy, but also provides the basis for relay protection. With the development of the national smart grid and UHV grid, the traditional electromagnetic current transformer gradually exposed its fatal defects, and the all-fiber current transformer has been rapidly developed.
The all-fiber current transformer has the advantages of high measurement accuracy, large measurement dynamic range, fast frequency response, good anti-electromagnetic interference performance, small size, light weight, easy integration, and measurable AC and DC signals. The core device for current detection The cost of photovoltaic modules accounts for more than 70% of the total transformer. However, the special optical fiber materials currently used to manufacture photovoltaic modules are monopolized by foreign manufacturers, and most of the all-fiber current transformers that meet the requirements of the State Grid are imported.
Until 2014, Beijing Yiguang Research Institute and Beijing Shiweitong Technology Development Co., Ltd. jointly developed the development of high-precision current measurement photoelectric modules. After two years of joint research, the research team has achieved fruitful results and developed a low birefringence fiber with completely independent intellectual property rights, breaking the foreign monopoly and improving the accuracy of the full temperature error of the fiber optic current transformer.
Nowadays, with the development of smart grids in smart substations, all-fiber current transformers have ushered in new challenges. Researchers of the Chinese Academy of Electric Power have developed an optical path and circuit based on the temperature and driving current of the all-fiber current transformer light source for the urgent need of the reliability, stability and accuracy of the all-fiber current transformer for the new generation of intelligent substation. Based on the research on the influence of key parameters on the overall performance, a self-diagnostic technology model and a complete set of methods based on the light source die temperature, driving current and other optical paths and circuit parameters are proposed. The all-fiber current transformer for GIS with self-diagnosis function is developed. The project results are conducive to promoting the technical level of the fiber optic current transformer industry.
