It is reported that each tanker of Volga Shipping will be equipped with two 6L20 mainframes. Wärtsilä began delivering these mainframes last fall and delivered them in mid-2013. The main engine is a four-stroke machine. It can burn both diesel and heavy oil. No matter how much the working load of the machine can be converted from burning diesel to burning heavy oil without interrupting the power supply.
It is understood that 15 of the 25 oil tankers built at the Navashino Okskaya shipyard were built for the Volga Flot tanker company. Another 10 oil tankers were built at the Sormovo shipyard in Nizhny Novgorod Krasnoye, five of which were built for the Bash Volgaer Company and five for the Volgotrans tanker company. These shipping companies are part of Volga Shipping.
