In terms of vehicle manufacturing, Xi'an will focus on accelerating the development of Geely Automobile, Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Truck and other enterprises, actively introducing well-known automobile enterprises and advanced automobile production technologies, forming a relatively complete series of automobile products, and improving the production strength of automobile vehicles; In the automotive field, Xi'an said that Xi'an will rely on science and education resources to accelerate the research and development and introduction of new energy vehicle drive motors, power batteries, electronic control systems and charging stations and other core technologies, forming a number of leading products with development prospects and competitiveness. The Economic Development Zone will be built into an important manufacturing base for domestic new energy vehicles.
According to the opinion, from 2017 to 2021, Xi'an City will make an annual arrangement of no less than 1.5 billion yuan of special funds to support the development of the 100 billion-level automobile industry cluster in the Economic Development Zone. The funds are comprehensively used in various ways, such as equity investment, industrial subsidies, and incentive subsidies. They are arranged in a simplified manner through decentralization and decentralization, and are independently arranged by the Economic Development Zone according to the investment and construction needs of key areas such as investment promotion and technology research and development in major automobile industries. By the time the auto industry cluster is completed, the vehicle production base will have an annual production capacity of more than one million vehicles and an output value of more than 100 billion yuan.
