Jiangsu Economic and Information Commission announced on April 6th that in 2012, 122 companies that had undertaken the task of eliminating backward production capacity were eliminated, as well as the list of eliminated production capacity and equipment, among which there were 11 chemical companies and involved 50,000 tons of relevant product capacity. Four companies including Yancheng Baiyi Chemical Co., Ltd. and Yancheng Tinghu District Health and Construction Solvent Factory all requested closure. Xuzhou Kaida Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. has to eliminate 55 reactors, 13 solid-phase condensers, and 4 evaporators. Jiangsu Sendi Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. has to eliminate 15 pelletizers. Huai'an Jindu Chemical Co., Ltd. has to phase out two production lines with an annual output of 250 tons of diphenylphosphine oxide, and Jingjiang City Shenlong Chemical Factory should eliminate synthetic rubber processing equipment.
