The expansion investment will be approximately 20 billion yen (approximately RMB 1.6 billion). After the expansion, the number of employees will increase to approximately 1,400 by 400 in April 2011.

According to reports, Gatto Guangzhou has been put into production since 2009, the current production of medium-sized car FF-type CVT and JAT-CO CVT7 (light / small cars with sub-transmission mechanism FF CVT). This time, to meet the sharp increase in demand for CVT in the Chinese market, the production capacity will increase from 380,000 units/year (in April 2011) to 730,000 units/year (in the spring of 2012). With the expansion of the assembly capacity, the company also joined the enhanced mechanical processing project and added a heat treatment project in an effort to maximize the production of the existing site. In order to quickly respond to market quality issues, vehicle matching development and localization of parts and components, a quality technology center was established in April this year. Its dedicated China Quality and Technology Center office building was also completed and delivered for use in the fourth phase of the plant. The CVT currently produced by Gattech Guangzhou is mainly carried by models such as Tianfan, Sylphy, Xinguang, and Xinda of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company.

In order to meet the goal of 2018 annual sales of 1 trillion yen, in addition to China, the Mexican plant is also expanding its production. In addition, Gatco Thailand is newly established in the ASEAN region. Gat can meet the needs of the global market for CVT. The increase will be localized around the customers and will be further expanded.
