Forge Motors Co., Ltd. Ford Motor Co. announced that its car sales in Europe in January 2011 were at the same level as last year, while Ford's sales in major markets in Western Europe fell 5.2% to 99,700 vehicles.

Data shows that Ford’s car sales in Eastern Europe increased by 37% in January. Among them, Ford's sales in the Russian market increased by 24%; in the Turkish market, car sales soared by 122%. In January, Ford sold 514,000 vehicles in 51 countries in Europe.

Roelant de Waard, sales director for Ford’s European market, said: “Sales in Turkey have grown too staggering. Monthly sales have reached the highest level in 10 years.” In addition, according to sources, Ford Motor Company plans to continue to introduce new models in Europe.

In January 2011, Ford was still the best-selling model in Ford's 19 major markets in Europe, Carnival, Fox and Transit.
